“Push the limits of what you think is possible to achieve, and never let anyone say you can’t do it”. Ella has been on boats most of her life. She has been a crew member for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution since she was 17 (longer than she’d like to admit) and has been a captain for them since the age of 18. After gaining a masters in marine biology from the University of Aberdeen she became a boating officer in South Georgia in the Sub Antarctic for the British Antarctic Survey. She is now a paramedic in London and the Chief instructor for a lifeboat charity called Atlantic Pacific. Throughout her career she has seen good and bad examples of team players, seen groups fall and rise on the strength or weakness of their members and helped build individuals into working, lifesaving teams.
When not working she can be found bouldering (rather than climbing, much closer to the ground thank you) or reading a book.
